The Painter

name

John Peelle

John has been an image maker all his adult life. His colorful and impressionistic style has been developed over the last thirty years.
The paintings are his impressions, his feelings, his understanding of color and light, texture, motion and style.
What moves John to paint may be as simple as the way light strikes the scene at hand or the complexities of shapes built into cities both large and small.

"A painting is nothing more than what the artist deems important, what details are needed and what color and shapes will convey the feelings imparted by the subject."

The Work

The works on this site represent authentic artwork created by John Peelle with the hope that you will share your living space with his paintings. Brushed patiently and thoughtfully, many in the outdoors, and imbued with local experiences. The resulting paintings exhibit the unique effects of the human creative process. Red sand embedded within Schnebly Hill came from the painting having been tipped upon the red rocks in Sedona, Arizona. Bring the expression and experience of this fine art into your home.
